America's Next Top Plus Model

Tyra Banks crowns a "juicy" winner, and breaks new ground. (Maybe) WHITNEY Thompson became the first plus-size winner in the history of "America's Next Top Model."

A luscious, hip-swinging blonde (though she began as a brunette) from Florida with a hint of Guess-era Anna Nicole Smith about her. "You're the first girl with some booty to win," Tyra told her at the show's end. I ask myself, Why is that. Every cycle but two so far have included one model that's supposedly "plus-sized," at least according to the standards of America's Next Top Model. And yet Whitney is the smallest plus size I have ever seen. Plus?? I don't think so. She's like a size 8. At least Toccara in cycle three was actually a little larger than just average, and she placed seventh out of fourteen. Jones went on to become a plus-sized model professionally. (Of course, then she went on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club and lost thirty pounds "for her career.")

I am extremely happy that someone of size finally won BUT it's seems like we still look the skinny road.
